This recent addition to XYZ Publishing’s impressive Quest Library of Canadian biographies is Book 23 in the series. Once again, the life of a prominent Canadian has been chronicled in a format accessible to senior students. This time it is war correspondent, radio and television broadcaster, politician and advocate for Quebec, René Lévesque, that is the subject of a biography that has been thoroughly researched and honestly presented. Much happened in Canada during Lévesque’s lifetime, and this biography records Canadian history as well as Lévesque’s private and public life. The entire Quest Library is “a lively way to read Canadian history” and should be a valuable part of all secondary school collections of Canadian history.
